Gu Hongying, a fiery bandit from the Republic of China, wakes up as Su Xiaomei—a timid educated youth in 1970s rural China, exploited by relatives, dumped by her fiancé, and even robbed of her cornmeal! Armed with a "Get Rich System," she drops the doormat act: confronts her abusive mother-in-law with a hoe, sells braised meat using the system’s "secret recipe" to earn 5 yuan a day (a fortune back then), and even negotiates "scarce goods distribution" with the supply co-op director. Lu Jingshen, a cold but upright military officer, initially wants to arrest her for "speculation" but is captivated by her audacity—like chomping on roasted sweet potatoes while rambling about her "business plan." He secretly protects her from troublemakers. Can Gu build her "10,000-yuan empire" in an era of food stamps? And what hilarious chaos will erupt in their romance between a "wild girl" and an "ice-cold major"?
