Lin Xiaoman, a wage slave scrambling to pay for his mother's surgery, keeps getting odd errand orders—an elderly lady in Lolita asks him to deliver "non-melting ice cream" to an old building, a programmer asks him to pass a "gibberish note" to Su Wan, the café owner he secretly likes. Instead of cash, he gets extraordinary rewards: hearing cats talk, slowing time by ten minutes. He uses the time-slowing power to help Su Wan retrieve her lost novel draft, only to find she's been watching him too. The lady's ice cream is a memorial gift for her late husband, the programmer's note is an unspoken confession. When a mysterious man asks him to deliver a "letter to the present" to the hospital, Lin realizes it's his future self, offering the ultimate reward—restarting his life. But he trades all rewards for his mother's successful surgery, finally understanding: those "extraordinary rewards" were never superpowers, but life's way of teaching him to cherish the love right in front of him.
