Lin Xiaoman, a socially anxious illustrator, rushes to a bookstore for reference books to meet a deadline, only to grab the last copy of *Four Seasons Flower Language* at the same time as Gu Jingshen—a sharp-tongued advertising director there for coffee. The second their eyes lock, Lin’s ears burn instantly—this man’s eyes hold the exact stars she’s painted a thousand times. But Gu’s first words cut through her nerves: “Miss, you’re shaking more than my cat when it sees bathwater.” To her shock, the next day she gets a collaboration offer from Gu’s Group to illustrate their new perfume. As they work closely, Gu’s sharpness softens into tenderness, and Lin’s brush secretly draws him into every draft about “heartbeat.” When Gu finds her sketchbook left in the studio and smiles: “So you’ve been ‘hiding’ me all along?” Lin realizes those uncontrollable heartbeats have long become their exclusive love story.
