Lin Xiaoman, a wronged daughter-in-law, has been married to the Zhou family for three years. Every day, she endures her强势 mother-in-law Zhou Cuilan’s nitpicking—from the saltiness of breakfast porridge to her work outfit, even her son’s toys are thrown onto the balcony to “collect dust”. Until one day, they fight over their son’s picture book and break Zhou’s heirloom jade bracelet, suddenly swapping bodies! Worse still, a “Reconciliation System” pops up in their minds—they must complete each other’s “unfinished wishes” to switch back. So Xiaoman becomes Zhou, needing to win back the “Dance King” title from Aunt Zhang (Zhou’s old rival) in the square dance team; Zhou becomes Xiaoman, having to deal with her difficult boss at work and attend a parent-child baking class with their 5-year-old son (even burning eggs and being teased by her son: “You act like Grandma today!”). Through the swap, the two finally understand each other: Zhou’s harshness comes from fearing her son will be wronged, while Xiaoman’s patience is to protect the family. But just as they’re about to finish the tasks, the system reveals a “hidden mission”—help each other say the truth they’ve hidden for ten years? Follow this hilarious and heartwarming body-swap journey as they go from enemies to allies!
