Lin, a 70-year-old security guard in a residential complex, is often mocked as a "useless old man" by wealthy young residents for his plain clothes and meager income. While stopping a thief to help a resident, he accidentally awakens a mysterious cultivation system with a special rule: "one second of being beaten equals one year of skill growth". His cultivation grows rapidly afterward, and he not only slaps in the face a taekwondo genius resident who provokes him but also defeats a long-reigning veteran grandmaster at the city martial arts tournament. He breaks the prejudice that "the elderly are useless" and transforms from a despised guard into a respected "elderly max-level powerhouse".
