In 1930s China, architect Cheng Mo returns to his ancestral home to restore the family mansion, only to find it surrounded by a thousand ancient lanterns that spontaneously ignite at midnight. As he investigates the eerie phenomenon with lantern-keeper Su Li, they uncover a century-old blood feud hidden beneath the flickering lights. Their forbidden love transcends the boundary between the living and the dead, but when the final lantern lights up, will it bring salvation or eternal damnation?
