Lin Shen, a down-and-out descendant of the Qianmen (a guild of ancient tricksters), sets an elaborate trap to get close to Su Wan, the daughter of a jeweler—rumor has it his sect's stolen relic is in her hands. But as he “charmes” his way into her life, he discovers the seemingly innocent Su Wan has long seen through his disguise, and even turns the tables: the truth behind his sect's massacre ten years ago is linked to Su Wan's family, and her trap is meant to unmask the real culprit. As the layers of deception unfold, Lin Shen faces a brutal choice: avenge his sect, or let go of his hatred and solve the labyrinth with his “enemy”?
