Lin Wan was scammed out of her late parents' fortune by her ex-boyfriend Chen Mo. Desperate, she returned to her grandmother's rural old house and found her grandma's hidden "Book of Beast Taming"—revealing her grandma was a legendary local beast tamer. To make a living, Lin used the book's techniques to help villagers: taming violent plow oxen, retrieving lost dairy goats, and even subduing the village bully's ferocious dog, gradually establishing herself in the countryside. But just as she thought her new life was beginning, Chen Mo suddenly showed up with his new girlfriend, trying to scam her beast-taming business again in the name of "investment". Meanwhile, Gu Chuan, the vet who had been silently helping her, revealed his hidden identity—he was actually her grandma's former apprentice? As Lin deals with her ex's harassment, she uses her beast-taming skills to uncover rural secrets, regain the confidence destroyed by deception, and even gain true love.
