Lin Xiaoman is tricked by her best friend into an "exes' Shura Field" on her birthday—five exes show up at her door: her first love, a cheating playboy, an ex who made her take the fall for his business failure, a campus crush, and a sarcastic doctor who said "never speak to me again" when they broke up. To her despair, she's just diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer and wants to spend her last three months quietly, but her exes won't let her: her first love confesses "I still love you," the playboy begs for a second chance, the business ex asks her to cover his company's debts, the campus crush uses her as a fake girlfriend to avoid other girls, and even the sarcastic doctor checks on her daily as her "attending physician." While she pretends to be fine and hides her chemotherapy drugs, the doctor slams her medical record and yells: "You're not avoiding us—you're avoiding the fact that you're scared to die!" That's when she realizes her exes already knew about her illness—this "Shura Field" was their clumsy, three-month plan to say: "We want to stay with you."
