Lin Wan, who runs a tiny flower shop named "Rose", finds a wounded black stray German Shepherd outside her store late one night. Initially planning to foster it temporarily before finding it a new home, she soon discovers the dog fiercely protects her from a local street bully who has been harassing her for weeks. As they grow closer, Lin Wan learns the canine was once a decorated drug-sniffing dog, abandoned by its former owner after a career-ending training injury. When the bully escalates his threats and blocks the shop entrance demanding protection money, the retired K9 breaks free from its leash and charges at the thug. In that critical moment, Lin Wan realizes the dog she saved has become the sharp thorn of her rose bushes, guarding her ordinary world with unwavering loyalty.
