Su Xiao, an office worker, has had a crush on the icy CEO Lu Jingshen for three years. Right before she plans to confess, a “perfect rival” named Lin Wan appears—bright, free-spirited, and not only hits it off with Lu Jingshen but also knows all Su Xiao’s little habits, like adding double sugar to her coffee. Just as Su Xiao is about to give up, Lin Wan confesses: “I’m you from the future!” It turns out future Su Xiao regretted missing Lu Jingshen due to timidity and traveled back to help her past self “win him over.” Thus, two “selves” start a hilarious cohabitation: the socially anxious Su Xiao fears mistakes, while the sassy Lin Wan dares to go all out. They bicker yet team up to pursue Lu Jingshen, but Lu has long seen through it: “What I’ve been waiting for is never the perfect you—it’s the one who’s cute even when she nervously spills coffee.”
