Lin Xiaoman guards "Guixu Bookstore", a legacy from her grandfather. Lately, she's dreamed of a man in cyan reading *The Book of Songs* under a peach tree. Strangely, the incomplete Song-dynasty *Guan Ju* in the store emits faint reading sounds. Until Gu Zhao, an ancient book restorer, arrives—his voice matches the man in her dream. He says he also dreams of a girl in a moon-white dress flipping books under a peach tree. They find they were teacher and student in a Southern Song academy in past lives, separated by war with a promise: "As long as the book exists, we exist". Now the bookstore faces demolition, and *Guan Ju* hides a past land deed and unspoken confession. When the breeze blows, the book's whisper returns, calling them to mend past regrets and keep their present promise.
