Su Xiao, an amnesiac illustrator, has been drawing the same painting for three years: a woman in a dark green cheongsam standing at an old alley. Just as Su Xiao uncovers the past-life secret hidden in her art, Gu Shen collapses from a chronic illness. Rushing to the hospital, she finds A Ruan’s silver hairpin on his bedside, along with a yellowed note: "It’s not you finding me—it’s me, spending a lifetime of deep love, waiting for you to 'see' me." Gu Shen has held onto their past-life memories for twenty years, and Su Xiao’s paintings—filled with her unspoken affection—were just her finally 'seeing' the man who’d never left.
