Lin Yang, a poor young man rushing to a job interview, mistakenly gets into the luxury car of beautiful CEO Su Wanwan and is pinned down as a stalker. His flustered act of taking out the interview notice unexpectedly reminds Su Wanwan of her younger brother—who, years ago, held documents and awkwardly asked to borrow a phone, but she missed their last meeting due to work. Su Wanwan collapses in tears, pulling Lin Yang to eat "her brother's tomato and egg noodles." Later, Lin Yang finds out the house he rented is the "Girlfriends' Apartment" shared by Su Wanwan and her four best friends: a cold lawyer, a playful influencer, a gentle doctor, and a sassy race car driver. The five women compete to win Lin Yang's attention: Su Wanwan cooks exclusive noodles, the lawyer helps him fight workplace bullying, the influencer teaches him to dress, the doctor brings him hot milk, and the race car driver lends him a limited-edition helmet. They even secretly hide his socks in their wardrobes to "claim" him. What Lin Yang doesn't know is that in Su Wanwan's drawer, there's her brother's diary with a final note: "Sis, if I'm gone, find someone like me—who peels shrimp shells, cooks runny-yolk eggs, and pats your back when you cry."
