Chen Mo, a delivery guy who can't even afford rent, accidentally falls into a time rift while delivering congee at dawn, bringing a truck full of congee and pickled vegetables to the famine-stricken Danning Dynasty. Here, starvation runs rampant—the young Emperor Li Zhao is despairing over refugees' corpses, while officials only shift blame. Seeing a starving child die, Chen Mo opens his truck without hesitation to distribute congee, but is labeled a 'demon' and targeted for arrest. Li Zhao squats in the mud with him to feed refugees, realizing his kindness. When Chen Mo uses pickled vegetables to make congee filling and stops a plague with modern methods, Li Zhao suddenly kneels: 'Sir, you saved my kingdom!' A talented girl posts love poems outside his tent, a general's daughter threatens marriage with a sword, even the princess sends a sachet secretly—this poor guy becomes the 'national groom'! But looking at his phone with missed calls from his mom, Chen Mo hesitates: Can congee save them forever? Stay or go back?
