A poor young man named Hu makes a living with a broken boat. Accidentally sailing into dangerous undercurrents which seemed like a death trap, he digs out the legendary 'Sea Emperor Pearl' deep in the currents. When the local fish tycoon Black Brother, who has long coveted the treasure, learns this, he frames Hu and tries to seize the pearl to kill him. Trapped in desperation, Hu relies on the mysterious power of the Sea Emperor Pearl and superb fishing skills to escape crises. He not only takes back the pearl, but also exposes Black Brother and his gang's crimes, finally rising to become the respected 'Fishing King' of the area.
