Lin Chuan, a shabby and down-and-out country boy, is actually the heir of a hermit divine doctor, sent down the mountain to find his master's old friend. On a late-night street, he stumbles upon Su Wanqing, a beautiful CEO drugged by her enemies. To detoxify her, he uses his medical skills but accidentally "crosses the line" and takes her first time. Su Wanqing wakes up furious, but when her grandfather's terminal illness strikes, she discovers Lin Chuan can work miracles. To save her grandfather, she makes a deal with the "pervert"—let Lin Chuan stay as her assistant. Lin Chuan cures her grandfather with acupuncture, resolves the company's financial crisis for Su Wanqing, and exposes her cousin's power-seizing plot. They go from confronting each other to secretly falling in love. But when the divine doctor token hidden in Lin Chuan's wooden box is found, Su Wanqing is shocked: this "poor guy" saved her when she was a child ten years ago...
