Five years ago, Lin Yang, a poor boy, was pushed into the river by debt collectors while protecting his sister Xiaotang and was presumed dead. In reality, he was abducted by a secret organization and trained into the top war god codenamed "Night Owl" through hellish trials. When he returns five years later, he uncovers the most painful truth—his sister took the blame for his "theft" and was imprisoned in an underground warehouse by gang leader Zhou Hu, suffering daily beatings and humiliation, now unconscious and on the brink of death. Consumed by rage, Lin Yang summons his shadow guards to raid Zhou Hu's underground casino, steps on Zhou Hu's head to demand his sister's whereabouts. Zhou Hu kneels, begging for mercy, and reveals Xiaotang has been sold to the overseas dark web. With bloodshot eyes, Lin Yang crushes Zhou Hu's wrist: "Even if I have to flatten all of Southeast Asia, I'll bring Xiaotang back!"
