Bonding through shared love for theater, their friendship deepens as autumn leaves fall. When a warlord forces the opera troupe to perform, Qiu Niang disguises herself as a man to stand in for Shen. Their forbidden romance blossoms amidst the lyrics of 'The Peony Pavilion', challenging societal norms of their time.
