Lin Xiaochuan, an ordinary office worker saving up to raise his cat, practices for half an hour just to say hello to Su Wanqing—the campus beauty who owns the café downstairs. Until one day, his phone pops up a "Goddess Capture System": complete the task of chasing his crush to unlock "no overtime rights," or face the punishment of "eating coriander for a month straight!" Forced to act, he embarks on ridiculous attempts: mixing hot cocoa into a "super spicy death special," trying to fend off a harasser for Su but falling into a flower bed. Surprisingly, these "failures" make Su notice him—turns out the icy beauty had long remembered the clumsy guy who quietly fixed her outdoor tables every day. When the system’s task becomes a sincere confession, Lin realizes the so-called "counterattack" is just summoning courage to walk toward the light that’s always been his.
