Top investment banker Gu Jingshen is ambushed by a pigtailed little girl named Fubao on his first day back home—she leaps into his arms yelling “Daddy!”—and a DNA report leaves him stunned: this is the “accident” from three years ago, when he helped a drunk girl avoid trouble! Fubao’s mom Su Xiaotang is now a rising star in children’s fashion, who raised Fubao alone after being cheated on by her ex. She only came to Gu for Fubao’s household registration. Gu goes from panicking to escape “fatherhood” to being melted by Fubao’s cuteness, then discovers Su’s softness beneath her toughness: staying up to alter Fubao’s uniform, leaving warm congee for him. But just as they grow closer, Gu’s “first love” returns with photos of a past misunderstanding, and Su—still hurt by Gu’s “irresponsibility”—prepares to take Fubao abroad. Can Fubao’s “family plan” work? Will these two stubborn souls overcome their misunderstandings?
