Lin Chuan, a police academy graduate, goes undercover in the gang “Qinghu Tang” to gather evidence. But after taking a lethal stab for the gang leader, he’s unexpectedly promoted to second-in-command. Now he juggles gang power struggles while hiding his identity to get close to Su Wanqing—the leader’s sister, a sweet girl chasing him, who’s also the key witness to the gang’s smuggling case. Just as he collects enough evidence, the leader announces he’ll pass the gang to him, the police suspect him of “betrayal”, and Su Wanqing finds out his undercover identity. Torn between loyal brothers, the criminals he must arrest, and his growing love, Lin Chuan has to fight his way up in the gray area—otherwise, he’ll lose both the mission and the girl’s heart.
