Lin Chuan, a down-and-out urban entrepreneur, returns to his hometown—a left-behind village—after a business failure. Seeing the village filled with the elderly, children, and abandoned farmland, he resolves to turn things around. Despite the village head’s doubt and villagers’ sarcasm, he teams up with his childhood sweetheart Su Xiaoyu, uses live-streaming to sell the village’s organic vegetables, and creates the “Memory of the Left-Behind Village” rural tourism project. Along the way, he faces funding shortages, suppression from urban suppliers, and must resolve Su Xiaoyu’s long-standing misunderstanding about his “abandonment” years ago. When the village finally hangs the “Richest Village” sign, Lin Chuan realizes he’s regained not just the village’s future, but also the love hidden in the years.
