Hao Tianzhen was a lowly kitchen hand at a five-star hotel, fired for defending a colleague against a senior executive. Desperate, he meets a reclusive gourmet who teaches him "empathy cuisine"—dishes that awaken buried memories. A bowl of his grandma’s soy sauce rice makes Lin Wantang, an anorexic rich heiress, cry and reveal a decade-old childhood secret; a Buddha Jumps Over the Wall revives a bankrupt entrepreneur’s fighting spirit. As Hao’s reputation as the "Divine Chef" grows, the mastermind behind his dismissal returns to ruin his name, and Lin’s family forbids their relationship for being "mismatched." Can one meal make him a legend, warm hearts, and overcome malice and prejudice?
