Small-time hustler Jie accidentally obtains a mystical mahjong set that grants him unbeatable luck, earning him the title 'Mahjong Soul' in underground gambling dens. As he becomes addicted to wealth and power, mysterious figures emerge warning him about 'the price of the tiles'.
