New criminal investigation rookie Su Wan risks recruiting four ex-convicts—dubbed the 'Four Pests' (a master thief, con artist, gambler, and street scoundrel)—as special case team informants to solve a tricky serial theft case, drawing skepticism from veteran officers who warn it’s like 'inviting wolves into the fold.' With her delicate observation and empathy, Su Wan gains their trust, turning their 'special skills' into key assets: the thief’s lock-picking lets police sneak into crime scenes, the con artist’s tactics unmask lies, the gambler’s connections uncover fencing dens, and the scoundrel’s street sense tracks the criminal vehicle. The unit grows to adore Su Wan, but the serial case’s mastermind watches them, laying fatal traps for these unusual informants.
