Lin Xiaoman, a tired office worker, accidentally binds to the "Doomsday Survival System" on her way home from an all-night overtime. But the "doomsday tasks" assigned by the system are all "modified versions" of urban daily life: using "zombie siege plans" to handle the long queue of customers during a milk tea shop rush, using "material scramble tactics" to grab the last warm fried dough stick in the subway, and even "defending against foreign enemies" in the office building (actually her boss urging for a proposal)! What's more, Gu Shiyan, her cold and distant neighbor, also binds to the same system! Forced to team up, they go from bickering "Is this system crazy?" to cooperating tacitly "You hold off the boss while I steal the dough stick", making people laugh out loud. But as the tasks get harder, Lin Xiaoman notices that the "doomsday scenarios" in the system are becoming more and more similar to the recent frequent abnormal weather—is this a funny prank by the system, or is the doomsday really coming? And what will happen to their "bickering partner" relationship when Gu Shiyan's hidden identity as a "system administrator" is revealed?
