Mortician Ye Xiaolong adheres to the principle of 'letting the deceased go through their last journey with dignity', but he is plunged into a whirlpool when the young female corpse he handled vanishes at night. When the police are clueless, another female corpse covered in strange scratches is delivered—its death condition is identical to the vanished one. Breaking the industry rule of 'not probing into the dead's secrets', Ye Xiaolong 'listens' to the corpse whispers with a scalpel: a half piece of Su embroidery in the nail crevice, mandala toxin under the skin, the direction the corpse's fingertips pointed when curled up... These details piece together the deceased's 'last cry for help', which not only reveals the whereabouts of the vanished female corpse but also leads to a teenage serial missing case that was suppressed ten years ago. When he approaches the truth, the vanished female corpse suddenly appears in his apartment, with the same embroidery as the crime scene ten years ago—Is it a guide from the deceased, or a warning from the killer? Ye Xiaolong must tear off the veil of evil hidden for ten years through the 'truth of the corpse'.
