The wimpy, power-stricken young prince, seen as a soft target in his own mansion, hires a female guard from the countryside to suppress plotting collateral branches and save face. He expects a pushover, but gets a sharp-tongued, highly skilled tough girl instead. She publicly confronts a bullying steward, beats back aggressive servants easily, and brings order to the chaotic, power-grabbing mansion. Bickering as master and servant, they grow into caring lovers, reclaim the prince's rightful power together, and she finally rises from personal guard to official princess consort.
