Lin Xia, a female geologist, ventures deep into the Taklamakan Desert to find her missing father, only to accidentally trigger the lair of giant sand worms. Team members are dragged into the sand one after another, and the water supply is contaminated. Just as she discovers from her father’s old notebook that the worms fear phosphorescent ore, a sandstorm strikes— the worm leader is racing toward their temporary camp. Will she gamble the last ore for survival, or risk her life to save the trapped teammate?
