Lin Lingqi, a loser office worker, suddenly learns of his father's death. He expects to inherit a pork stall in the urban-rural fringe, but instead bonds with the "Cultivation Butcher System"—slaying each evil spirit disguised as a "special pig" in the human world boosts his cultivation! Even more outrageous: the tattered apron left by his dad is an ancient fairy artifact, and Su Wan, the icy neighboring female doctor, turns out to be a cultivator tracking evil spirits, who claims he's the "Chosen Butcher". While fumbling to learn butchering (he once accidentally killed a pet pig and got reported), he teams up with Su Wan to subdue demons. Lin Lingqi goes from a penniless guy chased by his landlord to a hidden cultivation master in the city—his journey is hilariously chaotic. And the sweet romance? Why has Su Wan's gaze shifted from disgust to starry-eyed when looking at him?
