Struggling rural mountain villa owner Lin Man stumbles upon a century-old well in her backyard that connects to ancient China. Desperate to save her failing business, she hires an imperial chef, a former martial arts escort, a scholarly accountant and other ancient folks to work at her villa. These ancient workers revitalize the resort’s business with their authentic traditional dishes but also trigger a string of hilarious cross-era mishaps: the escort mistakes a courier package for a robbery target, while the accountant confuses QR code payments as “new dynasty taxes”. Lin must keep the cross-dimensional passage under wraps while smoothing over their daily chaos, kicking off a warm and funny cross-time comedy full of delightful surprises.
