Lin Shen, heir to the Divine Clan, returns to the deep mountains to complete the "Spirit Awakening" ritual via fishing as instructed by the clan's millennium-old legacy. Unexpectedly, he rescues a mysterious woman who fell into the river—she looks like a celestial being, can communicate with birds and beasts, and holds clues to the clan's lost sacred artifact. As Lin Shen tries to uncover her identity, the clan's enemies close in. Caught between the "Goddess he fished" (with whom he's falling for) and the millennium-old mission crisis of his clan, he must face the truth hidden behind the mountain mist.
