Lin Chuan, a down-and-out antique shop apprentice, accidentally awakens X-ray vision after breaking his master’s ancient jade—allowing him to see the age marks and hidden imprints inside artifacts. His ex-girlfriend dumps him for being poor, mocking him with her rich new boyfriend that he’ll “collect trash forever”; peers gang up to discredit him as a “lucky fool.” But with his power, Lin finds a Song Dynasty Ding Kiln bowl in a scrap heap, spots a fake jade Guanyin in a ghost market, and even uncovers a genuine Huizong emperor painting beneath a “damaged” scroll at an auction! Just as he rises to fame as a “treasure prodigy,” the descendant of a missing “treasure sage” from a decade ago shows up, pointing at his eyes: “That power—its mine.”
