Lin Wan, a working mom, is desperate for a nanny to care for her sensitive young daughter—until a woman calling herself “Aunt Su” shows up uninvited. She seems to have a “family radar”: avoiding her daughter’s peanut allergy perfectly, making her husband’s stomach-nourishing porridge in advance, even reciting pages from Lin Wan’s childhood diary hidden in a drawer. When Lin Wan catches Aunt Su crying over her mother’s old photos at midnight, or catching her daughter falling from the balcony with bare hands, Aunt Su finally confesses: She was her mother’s “protector” two decades ago. Her mother faked her death to guard a business secret, and now the old enemies are back. Aunt Su took the nanny job to help Lin Wan finish her mother’s “unfinished protection.”
