Tang Xiaotang, the "Divine Lucky Koi" in the village, has a natural gift for sensing fortune and misfortune. However, her family lives in a dilapidated ancestral hall because her father was scammed out of all savings years ago: her mother is bedridden with a serious illness without money for treatment, her younger brother dropped out of school to work odd jobs, and her father secretly took a high-risk construction job to raise medical fees. Xiaotang uses her "divination" to help villagers find cats, avoid disasters and earn pocket money, while tracking down the scammer to retrieve the lost money. Unexpectedly, she discovers the scammer is after her family’s heirloom—a koi-carved jade pendant, which is the source of her "divination" ability! Worse still, she predicts her father will have a construction accident, but her father calls her "crazy" when she tries to stop him; her mother’s condition worsens suddenly, and her brother is harassed by juvenile delinquents for debts... Xiaotang fights fate with her "little skill": she must save her family from crisis and uncover the pendant’s secret—her "divination" is not luck, but a family "protective charm", and she’s determined to use this power to defy fate and change their destiny!
