Lin Yuan, a young ranger in Qingyun Mountain, initially took the animal knocking at his door at night as a superstitious ghost story. Until he witnessed an injured chick asking for help secretly and a lost little beast howling by the sentry post. These previously timid mountain dwellers unexpectedly regard him as the only "Chief Mediator". He has to help a little squirrel find its lost winter pinecone, mediate territory disputes between porcupines and hares, and watch out for lurking poachers. The ordinary ranger post becomes a "Jianghu Mediating Stage" for beasts, and a wonderful bond between human and animals unfolds.
