Wang Dabao, a rural youth who practices medicine with his family’s traditional folk remedies, is beloved by villagers but dismissed by urban doctors as a "quack". When the only son of the town’s richest man falls ill with a rare disease that stumps all top specialists, Dabao steps forward. Using just a few common wild herbs, he stabilizes the boy’s critical condition. But he’s immediately accused of fraud—until he produces old letters between his father and a famous Western doctor, exposing a generations-old conflict between traditional and modern medicine, and kicking off a showdown between the grassroots healer and the orthodox medical circle.
