The Sheng’s Melody in My Heart

share time: 2025-10-23 02:33:51

In the ancient alley, 22-year-old Su Sheng clutches her grandfather’s old sheng pipe in “Qingyun Sheng Workshop,” determined to protect the alley that holds intangible cultural heritage memories—even if her opponent is Gu Huaijin, the newly returned real estate CEO who vowed to “flatten the alley in three weeks.” Gu Huaijin thought this was a “business game” until Su Sheng’s sheng melody from her fingertips disrupted his heart: her repairing the sheng under the old locust tree reminds him of the little girl who saved him 15 years ago. The night before the demolition order, Su Sheng confronts him with a copper sheng pendant she gave him years ago, asking, “Are you the little crybaby from back then?” Gu Huaijin finally takes out an old handkerchief he’s kept for half his life—still scented with the jasmine from when Su Sheng wiped his tears. What started as a battle between “demolition and protection” becomes a two-way journey of “searching and returning. The most touching sheng melody is never a solo; it’s when I walk toward you, and you’re right there waiting.
