In 1930s Shanghai, the Paramount Dance Hall shimmers with neon and暧昧. Su Wantang, a famous singer, clutches her missing sister’s last letter—scrawled with "Lanshan Lane 37"—while performing *Evening Primrose*. Gu Zhaoting, a warlord’s son disguised as a playboy, infiltrates the hall to investigate opium smuggling, only to catch Su rummaging through his briefcase at midnight. As the era’s glory can’t hide the gutter in the alleys, will these two secretive souls expose each other’s secrets, or be drawn into a vortex of fate by the scars in each other’s eyes?
