A-Ruan, the little fox spirit who sacrificed herself to shield a boy from heavenly thunder in her past life, is reborn as the "bloodthirsty fox spirit" wanted by the entire Demon-Suppressing Bureau. Her fox core stolen, she’s forced to absorb foul qi to survive—only to be framed for massacring a village. Just as demon hunters raise their swords to kill her, Gu Zhaohan, the new bureau chief, arrives on a cloud and repels everyone with one sword: "You have no right to judge my person." It turns out Gu Zhaohan is the boy she saved in her past life, who waited ten years in silence just to have her back. Now the fox spirit has someone to lean on—searching for her stolen core, exposing the villain’s plot, and sprinkling sugar in thrilling battles. Even the face-slapping moments taste sweet.
