Huang Jingzhou, the unruly young master of a gang, hides his sharpness and disguises himself as a cold, detached Buddhist monk in an ancient temple to protect his younger sister. Until Wu Yan Yihe—who claims to "pray to Buddha for her mother's recovery"—knocks on the temple door. He thinks it’s the start of a redemption, but little does he know that her every gentle approach and soft word is a scheme to steal the sacred medicine hidden in the temple. When he sees her raise a knife at the sacred altar he guards, he’s shocked to realize: the heart that was supposed to be "free of love and desire" has long been stirred by her. This encounter, which began with deception—Is he saving her from suffering, or is she the one who will expose his "fake Buddhist heart" and bring him back to the warmth of humanity?
