In a shabby convenience store on the edge of a small town, Shelf No. 4 is a forbidden zone everyone avoids. Lin Xiaxia, a part-time clerk, accidentally finds that the stern old store manager places old items here every night: a chipped hairpin, an old guitar with broken strings, and a yellowed note with half a sentence. When she touches the shelf out of curiosity, she catches a glimpse of the female clerk who went missing strangely from the store ten years ago. As she digs deeper, she uncovers the shelf hides the manager's unspoken love and the truth of the accident, and her own life experience is secretly tied to this mysterious shelf.
