Gao Yutong returns to Elao Mountain to find her missing grandfather, only to be entangled in the "human-faced bear" murder mystery—villagers die from bear claws one after another, yet human footprints are always left at the scene. Forester Lin Shen repeatedly warns her to leave, but she uncovers a shocking past from her grandfather's diary: years ago, her grandfather saved a bear cub severely injured by hunters, and the cub had a scar on its face that resembled a human's. As they close in on the truth, real danger emerges—someone is using the "human-faced bear" to cover up illegal smuggling of mountain goods, and her grandfather went missing for uncovering this secret.
