In the alleyways of 1980s Shanghai, sharp-tongued Lin Xiaoying is nicknamed "Iron-Mouthed Flower" by neighbors. Rejecting the old saying that "a woman without talent is virtuous", she secretly runs a small stall selling hand-sewn supplies, drawing cold stares from conservative elders. Her parents call her a "troublemaker", while childhood friend A Ming secretly helps her source goods. When a critical supply theft blames all clues on A Ming, Xiaoying is labeled a "shrew who invites trouble", and she vows to dig out the truth under pressure to prove herself and clear A Ming's name.
