Lin Xiaoman, a poor young man in modern times, accidentally gains the ability to "shuttle between two worlds." He works three jobs in 2023 to pay off debts while traveling back to 1985 to help Su Xiaotang, a single mother selling steamed buns, save her seriously ill daughter. Using modern marketing skills, he makes "Xiaoman Fragrant Steamed Buns" a hit in the alley. However, as the shuttle time limit suddenly shortens, he faces a choice: stay in the 1980s with Su Xiaotang and her warm bun stall, or return to the modern world to repay debts? When "earning steamed buns to feed my wife" changes from a slogan to an obsession, he realizes what he truly wants to fill is never his stomach, but the heart wrinkled by life.
