Lin Hao, who has been working away for years, is cornered by his parents' urgent marriage demands during the Spring Festival. He pays 80,000 yuan to rent a strange girl Su Xiao to pretend to be his girlfriend to cope with his elders. Thinking he can muddle through the festival, when he visits Su Xiao's home, her father recognizes Lin Hao at once—they are long-lost old friends, and teases: "Your dad said he would marry you to my daughter back then. What's going on here?" The two fake lovers are suddenly embarrassed, forced to start a "fake to real" Spring Festival journey. Their awkward yet funny days quietly sprout special feelings.
