Lin Chuan, the last heir of a reclusive medical sect, hides in Yundi Village as a "rustic village doctor", treating minor ailments with acupuncture. He's mocked as "unscientific" by Su Xiaotang, a city doctor researching rural healthcare—until a mysterious mass illness hits the village, and Western medicine fails completely. Lin saves everyone with his family's "Five Elements Acupuncture", turning Su from a skeptic to a fan. But this also attracts enemies who wiped out his sect years ago! Now, he must protect the villagers and the sect's medical classics, while navigating the sweet-and-sour ambiguity with Su amid the clash between "rustic medicine" and modern science.
