Modern office worker Lin Xiaoyu accidentally binds to a 'Fantasy Creature Adaptation System' and picks up a little goblin that strays into the real world. Refusing to treat this otherworldly little guy as a pet or experiment subject, he comes up with a whim to teach it the concept of 'republic'—equality and autonomy, so it can get rid of its primitive instinctive survival. The pair evades the pursuit of biological researchers, while Lin Xiaoyu copes with daily trivialities and acts as the goblin's 'enlightenment mentor'. Hilarious mix-ups keep happening, but through mutual devotion, the non-human finally grasps the unique warmth of 'civilization'.
