Lin Dashan, a young man from a village, returns home to lead villagers in growing special fruit trees to get rid of poverty. When the harvest and wealth are around the corner, he is hit by a profiteer who cuts prices maliciously. His wife urges him to use inferior fertilizers for quick gains, but Lin sticks to his original aspiration and takes the lead to build the Stele of Conscience to urge farmers to plant honestly. In the end, the high-quality fruits become popular, making the village a model of rural prosperity and showing the value of integrity and responsibility.
